The Man in the Red Hat
Hi I'm new to the forum but I've been addicted to 'that clip' for a few years now.
I wonder if anyone noticed the man in the red hat seated behind twin elderly sisters. When the song choice is announced he appears to to make a circular motion with his finger towards his temple in the universal symbol of 'crazy'
Bianca did you or any of those involved in the show see anything more of this gentleman or his reaction following the performance?
all the best

Hey newbie!
One of our European members did a frame by frame analysis of that whole clip and proved that the red-hat dude was at an entirely different audition in another city. Apparently, the network spliced him in to add to the notion that Bianca was attempting the impossible.
All of us here seem to be permanently captured by that moment in time. No matter how many great things Bianca may ever do (or not do), I Am Telling You on AGT is a lifetime classic.

Thanks for the welcome!
I guess that explains why I couldn't spot him in any other shots
yes my neighbors must think me mad when they hear me play the clip over and over (dailymotion not youtube... it's better sound!) tears streaming down my cheeks...
Tell me is unedited footage available from the Audition?
Cheers

Welcome. David! I saw your name listed as online yesterday... all of us regular contributors are so well aquainted with each other that a new name stands out... I was somehow able to resist my usual tact of sending a private message and "hittin' up the newbie" with a bunch of gushing accolades re my fellow BiancaFans here and shouting "welcome" to the point of appearing patronizing.. ...i
History has proven that all it takes is one "hello everyone"from a newly arrived member and the welcome mat gets dusted off and the coffee put on, so I thought I'd give it a day and see if you were the real deal, or one who passes through on their way elsewhere, leaving me to puzzle, "hey, whatever happened to whats-his-name...he sure didn't stick around long.. ....
Everyone here really loves and admires Bianca and her family, and ...(*looks around to see who's listening*) ...it's probably the only place I know of where grown men will openly admit that a little girl can make them cry.
Welcome aboard...we have alot of fun here and I hope you'll join in!
Bobby

in the clip that you're talking about, I could also see if AGT people put it there in order to contrast the oddly dressed perhaps with no talent with Bianca.
welcome to the forum 2!

Thanks again for the nice welcome!!
I was interested to read comments from other members who are sound engineers; I have twenty years experience in the music industry on both sides of the mixing board.
Its hard to put down in words, with the limitation of language, how profoundly I was moved by Bianca's audition. I sensed that the judge's comments were unfavourable towards Bianca's incredible semi-final performance only because the newness of Bianca's gift had passed. When a light comes on in the darkness at first it's almost too bright to look at but after a few seconds it seems normal. (although there is nothing 'normal' about Bianca's exceptional talent)
It was the brightness of this wonderful new light that fascinated me. I saw how in one moment in time something entirely unique could come into existence, that it could be experienced by the world and I as an individual could be transformed by that moment. I feel that something of the divine was revealed that spoke of personal and collective redemption.
To be honest I'm not a great 'fan' person; I really just needed a forum to express to those who might understand my gratitude for this gift that Bianca and her supporters have given us.

How good of a fan is not in what forum you are on or how many concert were you one. A gr8 fan is the one that loves the singer(in this case) and her music, voice and so on and is not ashamed to say so and spread the word about her and her talent so others can hear it too. So in this way you are a very good fan as you do it so well. peace to ya

David,
welcome to the forum, always nice to speak with another Bianca fan.
I couldn't help but notice your description of Biancas' talent, especially her magical AGT premiere as " a light .... in the darkness" and "I feel that something of the divine was revealed". You have found the fundamental nature of Biancas' appeal that has been noticed from the common man all the way to the captains of the music industry.
Bianca has made fans of many who would not otherwise be inclined. You'll be pleased to know that many of our members are music professionals with mixing board experience. I'll leave those members to introduce themselves to you as they wish.
Cheers!

I very much appreciate your articulate description of the BiancaEffect...we all felt it, and have over time spoken of it in so many ways, each trying to find a unique way to express what was so universally felt..many times repeating what was said by others or sounding redundant by expressing again an almost identical review of our profound reactions....
So, I was pleased to discover new heartfelt descriptions, of your own emotions .... "something of the devine was revealed"....
"transformed by that moment"...nicely put.
